THE DORJE SYMBOL
The word Dorje means both Thunderbolt and Diamond, symbolizing the properties of both – irresistible force from thunderbolt and indestructibility from diamond. The Dorje is believed to be able to destroy, but cannot be destroyed itself. It appears to be a weapon but is in fact a ritual object and it represents spiritual power. The Dorje can be used as a meditation tool to receive the ‘thunderbolt experience’ – the absolute truths.
